CONTENTS

The formation objective and the teaching plan have been elaborated with the contribution of the University of Applied Sciences of Mittweida and of the Zhitomir State Technological University, and with the most important companies in the field of environmental remediation. The Course includes frontal lectures and other forms of teaching, guided study and interactive teaching, and a compulsory stage period. To the sum of these activities, integrated with individual student effort for study and preparation, a global amount of work is assigned corresponding to 60 Crediti Formativi Universitari (CFU, credits). Attendance to the Course is compulsory. The Master Course lasts one year (December 2008-December 2009) for a total of 1500 hours, 625 of which will be devoted to a training stage in a company.

At the end of the Course, the students will obtain the degree of University Master of II level, acknowledged also by countries of the participating Universities.

The teaching plan is structured over 6 modules:

Module 1: Structure and functions of the contaminated site

Module 2: Methods for prevention and management

Module 3: Technologies for management of contaminated sites

Module 4: Tools for management of contaminated sites

Module 5: Fundamentals of economy and legislation

Module 6: Elements of company organisation
